For this year’s event, we are going to the Cary Country Club. We have decided to reduce the price as we did last year for members and their personal guest. All meals are priced at $25 each for the member and one guest (spouse/significant other). Additional guests are $35. These are all- inclusive prices.
Meal choices will be: Carved Prime Rib, Herb Crusted Tilapia and Sliced Chicken Picata. The meal will include a Fresh Garden salad, Baby Red Potatoes, seasonal vegetable and Warm Apple Pie a la mode for dessert. Coffee and hot tea are also included, all other drinks are available at the cash bar, which will open at 6 P.M. Dinner service will begin at 7:15. The Country Club requests suitable attire, no blue jeans please!
Our guest speaker will be our own Clyde Ericson. Clyde has been flying since 1962, with a total of 24170 hours to-date. He has flown some 214 different types of aircraft from the J3 Cub to the 747-400. His talk will touch on many important events in his life, including involvement with the Mission Aviation organization, an update on what his son Todd is doing now, his own career including his time with Chrysler, where he, among other things, worked on and drove the turbine car, then United Airlines. After that his involvement as Chief Pilot for Global Peace Initiative (the 747 SP) and working for Bill Rose. You can read about his EAA involvement HERE, and a full Bio HERE.
