The 2012 Flying Aces poker run finished up last Sunday with an amazing turnout. It wasn't the number of people participating, or the amount of money raised that made it so great, I'll explain why in just a moment.

The 2012 Yokes and Spokes Fly-out to Prairie du Chien is but a memory now,but a memory that will linger on for years to come. While the flying is what draws us all together in the first place, the events of the day were equally exciting. Thank you for your important contribution of time and energy! The volunteer services you provided our community and chapter, Lake In The Hills & EAA Chapter 790, has proved to be a tremendous help. After a series of detailed meetings, and months of discussions of ideas and obstacles, the decision is in. EAA Chapter 790 will host a fly-in, pancake breakfast at Lake in the Hills airport.

On April 7th from 7:30 to 11:00 A.M. Oshkosh’s local EAA Chapter 252 will host a pancake breakfast fly-in to commemorate legendary pilot and aircraft designer S.J. “Steve” Wittman’s 108th birthday. This event is open to the public.

On Saturday February 18th, Gary Grimmonpre’ of Midwest Flight Check arranged a Monday Breakfast trip to Janesville, WI. The Chapter’s first “Yokes and Spokes” outing occurred on Saturday, June 4th. The weather cooperated despite a forecast of a 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
