Chapter 790

Lake In The Hills Airport (3CK), Lake In The Hills IL.

December 15 (Saturday) - Chapter Breakfast Fly-out To        Lone Rock

For This month's breakfast fly-out, we plan to fly to Tri County Regional airport at Lone Rock WI.  The Identifier is KLNR, it has a runway 9/27 with 5000’ of good asphalt, and a much shorter crosswind runway – 18/36 with 1850’ available.  Distance from Lake in the Hills is 103 NM on a 313 track.

The attraction here is the Piccadilly Lilly Diner  at the NW end ramp, so let’s plan to arrive at KLNR at about 9:30 AM. The FBO is Tri County Airport; 100LL is presently $ 4.98 – do plan to buy some fuel there.  Please call or email Ole Sindberg if you are planning to come, or need a ride, or have open seats.  His contact numbers are 847 639-5408 or cell 847 826-1935 or oleeva@sbcglobal.net.

If weather is a problem, we will meet at Around the Clock restaurant on highway 14 in Crystal Lake – also at 9:30.  If you have indicated that you are coming, Ole will call you in the event of a cancellation.

December 18 (Tuesday) - Chapter Members Meeting,       Lake In The Hills Airport

We'll be meeting back in our usual location in the airport office, but one week earlier due to the Christmas holiday. This is our annual Christmas party, a pot-luck get together for food and good conversation. The chapter will provide drinks, but if you have a favorite you can bring your own. There will not be a speaker this month, and we have also decided to skip the "grab bag" gift exchange. Festivities will start around 6:30, so bring a dish to pass, and we hope to see you all there.
